A message from the chancellor, expert takes, how to help
“On behalf of our university, I write to offer our sympathy and support to our friends and neighbors in Southern California,” wrote Chancellor Lyons earlier this month, “and to the members of our own extended campus community, whose lives are being profoundly affected by the unprecedented fires raging in and around Los Angeles.” To that end, we recommend supporting students in need via the Student Emergency Fund. And campus experts have weighed in on health, housing, and the path forward; what’s next for home insurance in California; and how prepared the Bay Area is for major wildfires.
